“To them, God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ lives in you, the assurance of your glory.”
Our opening verse lets us know that Christ lives in us, and this is not some promise or a prophecy, it’s a present truth! That Christ lives in you, and that’s the assurance of your glory.
It’s like this, from science class we understand that our heart is in our thoracic cavity (chest). When you go out of your house in the morning, you go out with your heart, you don’t leave it at home. You don’t address your heart as a separate entity from your body cause it’s a part of your body. So is Christ with your spirit. You’re one with Him. He lives in you and, you live in Him.
Think about it, the totality of divinity is in you, Colossians 2:9. The King of Kings is one with you. How can you fail? How can you possibly be anything beneath excellent? Your life is a tale of unending victories.
This is why the Apostle Paul said that Christ in you, is the assurance of your glory. Meaning now you experience that victorious life, irrespective of what’s going on, you are assured that He is coming again and that greater glory is coming.
It's important to always be aware of the truth that The King of Kings is lives in us. Having this consciousness will reassure you that you are never disadvantaged because they that are with you are more than they that are with them.
Keep rejoicing Brethren, you have the victory!
Exercise: Picture the King of Kings in you and the army of Christ that surrounds you, then say out loud, “I am not alone!”
