Worry (fear) is a pointer to lack of faith or insufficiency of faith. If there's something your heart seems fearful about, it means you need to jack up your faith in that area. A way to do this, by searching what God has already said in that area and meditating on it. And also by praying in tongues to build my Faith in that area.
Let’s see what the scriptures say about peace.
“Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.”
2 Peter 1:2
1. Do I have peace?
Jesus says “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
“Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,”
Everything appears to be going wrongly, how can I still have peace?
Jesus says, “I’ve told you this so that my peace will be with you. In the world you’ll have trouble. But cheer up! I have overcome the world.”
2. How do I maintain an environment of peace?
“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.”
First, Prayer and thanksgiving. “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Then, guard your heart with all diligence (Proverbs 4: 23). Think the right thoughts and emulate the right characters.
“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.”
3. What do I do when I feel troubled?
Speak peace, talk peace, proclaim peace, declare peace.
You say, “In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety (Psalms 4:8). Long life is in my right hand; in my left hand are riches and honor. My ways are ways of pleasantness, and all my paths are peace. I am a tree of life to those who lay hold of me; those who hold me fast are called blessed (Proverbs 16-18).”
4. When my brother appears troubled what do I do?
Encourage them! “Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice! Aim for restoration, encourage one another, be of the same mind, live in shalom —and the God of love and shalom will be with you.” 2 Corinthians 13:11
It is my heartfelt prayer that the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you. Amen.
