Did You Know That?

Hello guys, today I will be sharing with you some Bible facts that you may or may not have known. Most of these findings came from research and studying of some Bible commentaries but mostly from the Rhapsody of Realities Teevo Bible for Teenagers and Young Adults as well as Bible by YouVersion (click here to download).

You can let us know which of them surprised you the most in the comment section below.

Let's get started!

Ruth was a descendant of Lot. David was a descendant of Ruth and of course, our Lord Jesus was biologically a descendant of David though we know he was the word become flesh. Ruth was a Moabite and Moab was the son of one of Lot's daughters who had gotten him drunk and slept with him so she could have children because at that time God had destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah and Lot and his daughters were hiding in a cave. They felt all the men in the world had been killed and the only man left was their father Lot.

Ruth on the other hand married Boaz and they gave birth to Obed, who gave birth to Jesse, who gave birth to David.

Scriptural reference: Genesis 19:30-38, Ruth 4:13-18.

The Jews still believe the disciples stole the body of Jesus. Wow! This is why we need to share the gospel more, so they can come out of this deception.

Scriptural reference: Matthew 28:11-15.

3. JOB

Job is the oldest book in the Bible. Bible scholars believe Job lived in the days of Abraham. The book contains many scientific truths that science only discovered many many years later such as air possessing weight, light waves, the existence of water springs in the ocean, and many other things

Scriptural reference: Job 28:25, Job 38:35, Job 38:16.

Jude, author of the book of Jude, and James the apostle - author of the book of James were the half brothers of Jesus. Do you know something interesting? When Jesus was alive, they didn't believe in Him. Wow, this teaches us not to give up on anyone, no matter what.

Scriptural reference: Mark 6:3

The famous song "Hear, O ye kings; give ear, O ye princes; I, even I, will sing unto the LORD; I will sing praise to the LORD God of Israel." was actually composed by Deborah, the only female judge in the Bible.

While the other famous song "There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God." was composed by Hannah, the mother of Samuel.

Thank you highly esteemed for giving us these beautiful songs!

Scriptural reference: Judges 5:3, 1 Samuel 2:2.
