The best definition of faith comes from the Bible, Hebrews 11:1. I love how The Amplified version puts it, obtained good reports (divine testimonies and God’s approval) because they understood that the ‘Worlds were framed by the word of God so that what we see was not made out of things which are visible.’
We must understand that it is by faith The Elders, who were mentioned in verse 4-38, obtained good reports (divine testimonies and God’s approval) because they understood that the ‘Worlds were framed by the word of God so that what we see was not made out of things which are visible.’ The word 'Worlds' here in Greek is aiōnas, meaning the course of life, in the message ‘The Integrity of The Word’ Rev. Chris Oyakhilome further emphasizes that aiōnas can be likened to ‘the life and times of a person or in other words meaning human lifetime, and the word ‘frame’ in Greek is Katartizó meaning to fully train or to perfect.
With this let's read the text again,
"For it's by faith the Elders received good reports. By faith we understand that the life and times of a person were formed by the word of God, so that what we see was not made out of things which are visible."
This means that the elders played by the Principle in verse 3, and by this, they were able to obtain good reports (divine testimonies and God’s approval).
Now let’s talk about how you can have faith that would cause you too to obtain good reports (divine testimonies and God’s approval).
Faith is a gift for the new creation, Ephesians 2:8 supports this statement “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God”.
Romans 12:3 goes on to explain that God has given every believer 'The measure of faith' meaning we all (as new creations) we have been given the same amount of faith, when we received The Gospel, for our salvation (Ephesians 2:8). You have the same faith as Jesus! There are no different kinds of faith depending on the role you play in the Body of Christ or who you are. No! We have all been given ‘The Measure of Faith’.
Now you might look at a sister and think ‘wow! Her faith can do more than mine can’, that’s simply because faith is like a muscle, now it’s your responsibility to build it (exercise it) to become stronger.
At this point, you might be thinking, 'how can I build my faith ?'
The answer is in the Bible, let’s read Romans 10:17 together, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” This lets us know that the measure of faith is grown, strengthened, built up by the word of God.
If you want to strengthen your faith, you must study, meditate and listen to the Word of God and also utilize important spiritual materials (books, audiotapes, videotapes, blog posts like this one and so much more). Keep yourself inundated with The Word of God. Your life is an expression of what you have on your inside, so if you keep utilizing negative materials, you will be full of negativity, but when you utilize Spiritual materials, you will be full of The Spirit, your faith will be Strengthened and Out of your belly shall flow rivers of living water.
You need to understand that Gods plan is to build you through His Word. You’re in a world that was built by His Word, everything was structured (Katartizó) by His Word. So if you want your life to be on The Rise always, you have to go through His Word.
Praise God forevermore!
Thank you, Jesus, for my life is an expression of your Word. I live, eat and breathe your Word. My faith is constantly being strengthened and I’m Victorious always. Hallelujah.
