God Is With You

“...And never forget that I am with you every day, even to the completion of this age.”” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭28:20‬ ‭TPT‬‬

As children of God, we carry the presence of God everywhere we go. It is a consciousness that we all must have. The more conscious we are of the truth, that God is with us, the more it becomes our everyday reality. As young Christians, still getting to know who we are in Christ, we may have found ourselves thinking otherwise, having the mindset that it’s “me, myself and I” and so, we started to feel alone. Even now, there are still many Christians who aren’t conscious of the truth that Christ is with them. They get scared and feel as though they can be attacked at any point in time, not knowing that the evil on the way is not for them.

David knew that God’s presence was always with Him, that’s why He said in Psalms “Yes, though I walk through the [deep, sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil, for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort me.” Psalm‬ ‭23:4‬ ‭AMPC‬ He was rest assured that he was not only guarded, but guided as well. 24/7 protection. That’s why he was so brave and bold, he wasn’t scared of missing his steps. He knew who stood with him on every occasion, God was with Him and so he lived his life in comfort and peace, focusing on all his attention on praising God and not what the heathen had come together to plan. This should be our mindset. Even if others say that the situation is a dead end, you know that there are no dead end(s) with God. Have no fear of anything! God is with you! The reason why certain things happen to Christians as they fall prey to the devil’s devices is because they tend to forget who is with them. But Jesus told us in Matthew 24:20 TPT, He said “...And never forger that I am with you everyday...” You are not to forget. In fact, remind yourself each day, at every time, ‘Christ is with me’. I often say that we should never assume that we are running this race alone, Christ sent you the Holy Spirit which is God’s presence to help you, every step of the way. (John 14:16-17 NIV)

One of the ways Satan gets to God’s children is fear. He injects fear through the wrong information we receive. Once He can get you to be afraid, he has stripped you of your guard. This is why having the consciousness daily, that Christ is not only with us but He dwells in us is very important. God spoke to Joshua and said “No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. ... Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” ‭‭Joshua‬ ‭1:5, 9‬ ‭NIV‬‬ God said this to Joshua in a resounding manner, because He knew that with fear, Joshua would have been unable to fulfill his assignment. But having faith that God is with Him, helped him achieve successfully all that God had entrusted to him.

Also, when you know that God is with you, it will be evident for all to see. Your disposition to the situation around will be different. You will live life courageously, recording countless victories. This is because where God is, there is peace, joy, hope, wealth, health, triumph and unending blessings.

In these times, all over the world there is so much fear and uncertainty, don’t let that crowd your mind. Learn to operate differently, understand that you have a mission, to reach the nations of the world with the message, the song, the gift, the talent, the strategy, the words, the wealth, the love, the writings, whatever it is that God has given to you, all to bring souls out of darkness into the marvelous kingdom of his dear son.

So as you do the work that has been committed to your trust by God, always remember that He is with you, to guide and lead you, protect you, strengthen you, teach you, correct you, help you finish strong. He said in Isaiah 41:10 AMPC, “Fear not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties, yes, I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand of rightness and justice. [Acts 18:10]” Understand that you have God, He is with you, even unto the ends of the age. Trust the Lord, He will always be there for you. You do not have to worry about anything. Glory to God!
