Identified in Christ - My environment
As a Christian, you died with Christ and rose up together with Christ. He didn’t leave you dead, you rose up and now the One who rose you up from the dead says you should live for Him. This means that He’s the source of your life and the source of your being. Without Christ - your environment, you cannot survive.
For instance; a fish cannot dare to leave its life-source, the water! As born again Christians too, it’s dangerous to live outside your source, the Word - Christ. Galatians 2:20 TPT says “My old identity has been co-crucified with Messiah and no longer lives; for the nails of his cross crucified me with him. And now the essence of this new life is no longer mine, for the Anointed One lives his life through me— we live in union as one! My new life is empowered by the faith of the Son of God who loves me so much that he gave himself for me, and dispenses his life into mine!”
“The essence(quality) of this new life is no longer mine”
He’s the essence of the life you live now, He’s the source of your life, He’s the source of your being. Make up your mind today to live for Jesus, be proud to be identified with Jesus Acts 17:28 “It is through him that we live and function and have our identity; just as your own poets have said, ‘Our lineage comes from him.” In Him (Christ), you live, function and have your identity. He is your living environment. In Him, you move, you live and have your being. Like I have explained using a fish as an example, the life-source of a fish is water, the fish eats in the water, lives in the water, eats and drinks there, in fact everything about the fish is in the water. Its protection is also in the water and anything outside the water is dangerous for the fish. So as Christians, live in your environment, anything outside the word of God is dangerous for you. You can’t survive outside your source. Everything you want to do should be in Christ- in the word. When you are faced with a challenge, the solution is in the word. Get into the scriptures, build your fellowship with the word, and you shall have good success and have your way prosperous
