Outdo Your past.
God’s word shows us that the path of the just is as a shining light, that shines brighter and brighter unto the very day, The amplified version says,
“But the path of the [uncompromisingly] just and righteous is like the light of dawn, that shines more and more (brighter and clearer) until [it reaches its full strength and glory in] the perfect day [to be prepared].”
Who is the just and righteous? It is You and I, who dwell and live in Christ. We are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. We have been justified by faith (Romans 5:1).We are the Light of the world (Matthew 5:14).
What is expected of us? We are to shine more brightly in the latter times than the former until we are fully perfected and prepared for the very day, that Christ shall appear.
What makes our light so shine? It is our fruits and works of righteousness; our Christ-like faith, thoughts, purposes, actions and plans. All these are to show forth the glory of God from one level to a higher level.
How does this light shine more brightly and clearly? By outdoing our past.
Each day there’s a greater glory being expressed through us. Inspire yourself to do more for Christ, and don’t get comfortable with the level you are in right now. There’s room for more exploits, and every time we set out to do more for the kingdom of God, the glory and grace of God upon our lives increases. We prove that we are God’s children. (Romans 8:19)
All for the Lord, we break our past records and set new targets; we do better than the best each day. You know, when we decide to do great things for God, the devil tries to create limits in our minds, but you shouldn’t allow it. With the power of your mind and spoken words you can break all limits, because they don’t exist; they are like a mirage. Once you’ve gotten a hold of the picture, don’t let anything shake you. To man it might be impossible, but to God all things are possible. We are helped of the Lord, we do not achieve these things by our own strength, there’s a supernatural strength working in our inner man.
Fuel your passions to do great things for God, Jesus said that we will not only do the things that He did but we will perform greater works than He did (John 14:12) and like Timothy was charged, we also are to war a good warfare with the prophecies that have been said concerning us (1 Timothy 1:18). The difference between you and the man that has results is your level of faith. And we owe it to God to win by putting our faith to work. Change and renew your mindset, pull down the limitations, drag them down! There’s something bigger and better and there’s no price in dreaming big! You were born to win. Like Paul the Apostle said,
“I don’t depend on my own strength to accomplish this; however I do have one compelling focus: I forget all of the past as I fasten my heart to the future instead. I run straight for the divine invitation of reaching the heavenly goal and gaining the victory-prize through the anointing of Jesus.”
Praise God forevermore!
