Peace is the state of trust that everything concerning you is perfect. Peace is the state of no worrying or fretting about anything. It’s a state of perfection where everything going on with you is going on perfectly and under control.
"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee."
Peace doesn’t mean natural quietness or stillness in the environment. It’s a state of being. It’s a state of completeness, wholeness, total well being, health and prosperity that produces rest. The Hebrew word is “shalom”- which means Peace with Prosperity.
The state of peace ‘shalom’ described above may seem difficult, even impossible in the world today given the current state of things.
How can one have peace when thoughts of worry and fear are bound to come to ones mind everyday? In fact, almost every second due to the happenings in the world today, with the outbreak of the corona virus and its effects on many nations today. In the economy sector, health sector, and in the lives of citizens themselves. More than ever before, the world seems to be in a state of turmoil and agony beyond anything ever seen or experienced before.
How can anyone talk about peace?
But dear reader, Peace is God’s will for you. It’s what God wants for you even during this time and it’s important you understand this.
There’s no need to fear or worry as the rest of the world if (and only if) you are in Christ Jesus. The Bible says in John 14:27, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give into you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” These are the words of Jesus to you, concerning you, and if you take a hold of this you will walk in perfect peace beyond the reason of the world. You are a child of God. He has perfected that which concerns you.
Fear not! You’re not trying to get peace or struggling with it. Jesus gave you HIS PEACE! He says, “My peace.. My peace!” He’s given you His peace. There’s no need to worry or fret. Put your mind on this. Meditate on this! Think about this always! Let not your heart be troubled or be afraid. Jesus had given you His peace. Not as the world giveth…but as Jesus gives.
In the Bible Jesus was referred to as the, 'Prince of Peace'. You have Him in you. The Prince of Peace. He garrisons your heart with peace and protects your mind from all worry and fear.
So today, dare to believe God’s Word and decide to walk in peace. You decide to walk in peace from your mind. Change your thoughts of worry and fear. Replace them with the words of Jesus: my peace I give to you, not as the world giveth, give I unto you, let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid'
Glory to God! So decide today and say;
“I’m going to live in peace, I refuse to fear. I refuse to worry. Jesus Himself has given me His peace. I refuse to fear. I’ve got the peace of God in me. I live in shalom shalom. Glory to God!”
Believe this and act on it today. Say no to fear and embrace peace.
God bless you!
