The Greatest Love Of All

Love gives!'Where there's love, there's giving'. You cannot say you love something or someone and not give. The first display of selfless love in the Bible was Abraham. Isaac was his only legitimate son and God told him to sacrifice Isaac without questioning. Abraham got up and was about to sacrifice him before God intervened.

I want you to know that God deals with and sees the heart of men. So I am sure Abraham did not have any second thoughts about God's instruction. 'EASY!'

'And He said, “Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me.”'

Genesis 22:12

_____________

"You did not try to keep him (Isaac) safe and God blessed him". Genesis 22:16-18 'You did not try to keep him safe', Love gives, Love does not keep to itself/himself/herself.

Abraham didn't try to keep him so he didn't lose him.

Whatever you try to keep, you lose. Don't try to keep anything God has given you including your whole life. Give him your whole life, let him be the Lord. Except a gram of wheat dies, it abides alone, but if it dies, it will yield more fruits and there is a great harvest. If anyone chooses to love his life, he will definitely lose it. John 12:24-25

You have to die to the desires of this world, pleasures of the world competitions, ('She wore this, I must wear mine' ) the gains of the world and live for Jesus. Give your whole life to Jesus. When you give your whole life to Jesus, nothing else matters, you will easily let go of anything for Jesus and the gospel's sake.

' No one has greater love [no one has shown stronger affection] than to lay down (give up) his own life for his friends.'

John 15:13

__________

Another bible version reads 'for the greatest love of all is a love that sacrifices all, and this great love is demonstrated when a person sacrifices his life for his friends'. Jesus was talking here, then he later says 'you're my friends', Jesus laid his life for us.

God"gave" his only son to die for you and me. This is the greatest love!

The greatest love is not 'I love you' with words only, it is not getting worldly gifts from friends and so on. The greatest love is a love that sacrifices all. Jesus sacrificed all for us. Are you ready to sacrifice for him? Are you really to let go of that money for the gospel’s sake. You can not say you love Jesus and you're not ready to spread his name abroad.

God is love!

Love gives!

God is the greatest giver!

If God is love?

Then you're also love, And you're the greatest giver too!

Why?

"His love is shed abroad in our heart by the Holy Spirit"

"Holy Spirit floods our heart with God’s love"

'And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. '

Romans 5:5

__________

You can love anybody and everybody because you have the same love of God that he demonstrated in John 3:16. Love the Lord with all your heart, your strength, and your might, when you do this, Your Christian walk will be easy.

' And you shall love the Lord your God with all your [mind and] heart and with your entire being and with all your might.'

Deuteronomy 6:5

________________

Love God with

  • Your mind

  • Your heart

  • Entire being; including your outward man (body)

  • Your might; Your strength (love him even when it's not convenient)

When you love someone or something with your strength, you give it your all. You don't think about yourself first, you don't think about the stress or the expenses.

You give it your all!

You give it your energy!

Love the Lord with all your might, strength, power, and energy!

If you love the Lord, you will not only hit the target but you will surpass it exceedingly.

DAVILANDA

Romans 10:9-10
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

CALL TO SALVATION.
