The Importance of Spiritual Guidance.

Spiritual guidance is a broad topic, I could write on it for weeks on it.

A proposed king cannot take over the throne without understanding and undergoing a series of training. A trained king stands out, rules with wisdom and reigns with authority that's seasoned with skill.

Just as we have physical parents, we also should have spiritual parents.

For although you could have countless babysitters in Christ telling you what you’re doing wrong, you don’t have many fathers who correct you in love. But I’m a true father to you, for I became your father when I gave you the gospel and brought you into union with Jesus, the Anointed One, 1 Corinthians 4:15

Physical guidance is carried out by our earthly parents (who gave birth to us through the natural means of conception), family members and acquaintances. They lead us through a process of physical growth and experiences to be our best on earth, but The Bible lets us know that there's another level of guidance given to us by our Spiritual Parents, who are given to us by God; Ephesians 4:11-12, they gave birth to us through deep groanings in prayers, they voice the words of God to us, lead us to fulfil our purpose in Christ.

Hebrews 12:5-11 supports this, and I love to read it from The Passion Translation, "And have you forgotten His encouraging words spoken to you as His children? He said, “My child, don’t underestimate the value of the discipline and training of the Lord God, or get depressed when He has to correct you. For the Lord’s training of your life is the evidence of His faithful love. And when He draws you to Himself, it proves you are His delightful child.” Fully embrace God’s correction as part of your training, for He is doing what any loving father does for His children. For who has ever heard of a child who never had to be corrected? We all should welcome God’s discipline as the validation of authentic sonship. For if we have never once endured His correction it only proves we are strangers and not sons. And isn’t it true that we respect our earthly fathers even though they corrected and disciplined us? Then we should demonstrate an even greater respect for God, our spiritual Father, as we submit to His life-giving discipline. Our parents corrected us for the short time of our childhood as it seemed good to them. But God corrects us throughout our lives for our own good, giving us an invitation to share His holiness. Now all discipline seems to be more pain than pleasure at the time, yet later it will produce a transformation of character, bringing a harvest of righteousness and peace to those who yield to it."

They nurture You (like a baby), training you to walk, talk, and be excellent from your spirit.

They prepare you for the work of God, to help you fulfil your purpose. When you recognise that your food is with your spiritual mentor, you'll start eating and growing right.

Your mentor is a shepherd, read the work of the shepherd in Psalm 23. Shepherd shields the sheep.

"The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those who are planted in the house of the Lord Shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bear fruit in old age; They shall be fresh and flourishing,

Psalms 92:12‭-‬14 NKJV"

Like the above scripture said you have to be planted/rooted in the house for you to flourish.

A trained folk flourishes and bears fruits and he is always distinguished!

Prayer

I pray that the light of God will illuminate the eyes of your imagination, flooding you with light, until you experience the full revelation of the hope of his calling, AMEN.

DAVILANDA

Romans 10:9-10
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
