Victory and Joy

2020 has been one long year for some people. With so many happenings that set the world at a time of hardship and great challenges, many have found themselves in worse situations and the days have certainly seemed long and tiring. For some, it’s been a time of great fear and confusion, a time of suffering and pain, a time of despair, a time where the days seem darker and the future also uncertain. The rates of anxiety and depression skyrocketing, people living in fear and despair, and the pain and suffering of many is being elevated with the economic and social hardships in many places, the world seemed to be in a critical state. But... you have the victory! 1 John 5:4 says, "For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world and this is the VICTORY that overcometh the world, even our faith.” No matter what is going on in the world, you as one in Christ has overcome! No matter how dire, how terrible, how desolate the situation seems, you are already a winner! God’s Word declares it so about you.

“In the world, ye will have tribulations.. but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world” John 16:33

These are the words of Jesus to you. Yes, you! Jesus already told us there’ll be trials and tribulations. He already told us they’ll be trying times, but He said be of good cheer I have overcome the world. As long as you have Christ, you have the victory. Therefore, you have the joy! When you have the victory, there’s no need to worry or fear. There’s no need to be anxious or scared. You know no matter the situation, you will always win. You know no matter how dark it seems, you will come out victorious because Jesus already won for you. So let this mind be in you. Let this faith be in your heart. Let this victory be on your lips. Let this joy be in your spirit. That no matter the situation, you are already victorious because your victory is assured in Jesus. Have no fear for the future! Things are not getting worse, they’re getting better! The days ahead are not darker, they are brighter. Greater days lie ahead. God has taken care of your future and He’s settled everything for you. Your future is greater than your past. Hallelujah! Take these words with you and never forget. Say it everyday no matter what comes your way.

“Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world”

1 John 4:4

God bless you and God loves you.
